10th May 2005 - Golf Day

Good weather, good food and good fun again favoured the annual West of England Golf Day at The Park. 78 players enjoyed a 9 hole morning warm up and after lunch got down to 18 holes of serious! golf, which was rounded off with an excellent dinner in the splendour of Tracy Park House.

Prizes were presented by the branch chairman, Kevin Sargent with the overall winner been Steve Platt, who won the Branch Member Shield and best guest was Bob Saunders who won the Plate. S Platt also won the longest drive with Tony Hanks getting the nearest the pin award. County Tyres and Ore Sizer won the morning team prizes and Finning B, Ore Sizer, Bridgestone and County collected the afternoon team prizes.

The branch would like to thank the players and sponsors for their support and making the event a success. Also a big thank you to the Tracy Park Staff and the Aggregate Industries team who work behind the scenes to make sure all went well on the day. See you all next year.
